Fear vs Fact on Shark Attacks

I want to think about this first post as a first impression, so I’m going to begin with something I really care about, Sharks. There is so much fear centered around sharks without people knowing any of the facts, so I’m here to try and make sharks more understandable. First of all sharks have no interest in eating people. Most shark attacks are cases of mistaken identity. When a shark sees a swimmer, surfboard, or kayak moving through the water, especially in areas with lots of waves and low visibility, they generally mistake it for a seal or other food source. The main way sharks can identify things is through tastes, so they go and take a bite out of you or your board.
